Gender individuation element is defined as a personal conception of oneself as male or female (or rarely, both or n each). It is the awareness of identification with either the male or female sex, as manifested in bearing behavior, and other aspects of a persons life (Pinel, 2009).This document will briefly discuss the interaction in the midst of hormones and behavior, and how these interactions ask the intent of gender identity. This document will include the fictitious characters of biological factors spirit and environmental influences nurture on sexual distinction and gender identity. Also, this document will briefly explain the determination of which has the greater influence on gender identity: nature or nurture and the current arguments about sexual identity and how evidence from biopsychology may help resolve the argument.
Gender is indomitable by biological, psychological, and sociological factors. An individuals gender identity is according to their sexual organs and or the subjective sense of their own sexual orientation. Biological factors play a major role in gender identity. Male and females are natural with distinctive sexual organs, and become further differentiated when indirect sexual characteristics emerge.



Naturally occurring chemical messenger compounds in the consistency known as hormones are responsible for coordinating the way of these physical differences. Hormones that enable sexual organ differentiation in utero that later trigger puberty play an important role in shaping gender identity. During puberty, the release of growth hormones creates thickening and visible hormonal and physical sexual differentiation between males and females. Males develop facial and consistency hair, deeper voices, and the enlargement of penises and testicles. Females begin to develop, body hair, broadening hips and the onset of menstruation ( Hines, Brook, & Conway,  2004)..
